Tom Nugent

Vice President, Elite Performance Solutions @ The Platypus Institute

Tom Nugent is Vice President at the Platypus Institute, where his primary focus is the implementation of the Human 2.0 upgrade program to elite populations across multiple domains. Mr. Nugent has over twenty years of experience in neuroscience research and neuroscience program management working with elite organizations ranging from professional sports teams, special operator communities in the U.S. military and abroad, as well as e-sports athletes and teams.

Tom started his career at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) as a neuroimaging researcher studying childhood psychiatric populations with a focus on child onset schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. He then transitioned to the defense industry as a senior scientist offering program management and technical consultation to neuroscience programs in the Defense Sciences Office of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). Previous to joining The Platypus Institute, he was the Senior Director of Neurotechnology, New Media, and Training Solutions at Cubic | Intific.

Tom received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University, and his graduate degree from Duke University School of Medicine.
