Simon Garlick is the CEO of Bastion EBA, the sponsorship strategy, acquisition, management and experiential company of communications, marketing and advisory firm, the Bastion Collective.
Bastion EBA provides commercial strategy that differentiates and generates more return for brands, rights holders and stadia and creates increased value for sponsors, government and partners. Bastion EBA works closely with all major rights and looks after and maintains strategic partnerships with brands such as AIA, Blackmores, Nissan, Tabcorp, Blundstone, Continental, Powercor and Medibank.
Simon’s broad and diverse history includes working across Brand, Agency, Sport and Governance through over a decade in CEO, C-level and National-level roles with P&L/commercial responsibility of $40m+ and 150+ staff. Extensive complex stakeholder management and engagement experience including the media, local, State and Federal Government and the negotiation of major sponsorship deals with global MNCs in the Consumer sector. Simon has run significant business transformation programs and has Board governance responsibility after an early decade and career as a Professional Athlete.
Simon’s other relevant experience include as National Sales Manager at LeasePlan Australia and the two most senior commercial positions at the Western Bulldogs FC, CCO and CEO playing a critical role in building the path to the Clubs recent success.
