As GM of Product Marketing for Machine Learning at Amazon Web Services (AWS), Joel Minnick works to put machine learning in the hands of every developer.
He oversees the marketing and strategy for the broadest and deepest set of machine learning and AI services in the industry including pre-trained AI services for computer vision, language, recommendations, and forecasting; Amazon SageMaker to quickly build, train, and deploy machine learning models at scale; and deep learning open-source frameworks.
Across his 15-year career, Joel has had the opportunity to lead across a broad set of business, technology, and marketing challenges including responsibility for shaping how Microsoft entered the virtualization market, as well as building AWS’s partner, enterprise, and product marketing organizations as the company grew from $2B to over $26B today.
Joel received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Pittsburgh, and an MBA from Duke University. He and his wife, Susan Minnick, are the proud parents of 2 young children who occupy them most days, weekends, and nights.
