MSc Sport Business and Leadership @ Institute for Sport Business Loughborough University London
Charlie achieved a First Class Masters degree in Sports Business and Leadership at Loughborough University London. After his research thesis exploring ‘Leadership Behaviours in Sport’ has been deemed publishable, he is now in the process of reforming it for publication in an academic Sports Management Journal. The aim is to catapult onto a PhD programme from there.
Outside of academia, Charlie has a preoccupation for sports tech. His primary endeavour is supporting Vaciniti Media Ltd, a pioneering, accessible and affordable platform allowing sports teams (grassroots to professional) to further engage their fans through a mobile application, which can be custom built and easily managed by the team themselves. Charlie is also an ambassador for both Solos (wearable technology to enhance fan experience) and LAVA (a fan analytics platform originated with the Sacramento Kings) having supported them at Chelsea Football Club’s Smart Stadia Hackathon and in the run up to their forthcoming appearance at the Global Sports Innovation Centre in San Sebastián.
Charlie is becoming a familiar face at the Sports Analytics World Series after running the discussion on eSports panels in both Amsterdam and London, this year.
