César Chaparro Yedro

Head of Data-Driven Transformation within the BI & Analytics Department @ La Liga

César Chaparro Yedro is Head of Data-Driven Transformation within the BI & Analytics Department at LaLiga.

Before joining LaLiga in early 2018, César worked for 11 years at the World Bank in Washington DC. He led the Data and Methodology team for the Doing Business and Enabling the Business of Agriculture projects. His responsibilities also involved policy advice to Government counterparts to achieve data-based policy reforms. Prior to the World Bank, he worked on EU and competition matters in the private sector.

César holds a master’s degree in European Studies from the College of Europe, alongside undergraduate degrees in Economics and Law. He participated and presented a paper on football player performance at the 2017 MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference in Boston.

César is fluent in Spanish, English, French and Italian, and has an intermediate level of German.
