Antonio Di Cianni obtained a BSc in Economics at the University of Siena in Italy and, after a Master in Management and Governance in the same university, he achieved an MSc in Sport Management and the Business of Football at Birkbeck University, London, with a dissertation on UEFA Financial Fair Play.
After finishing his studies, Antonio has joined the KPMG Sports Advisory Practice and he currently holds the position of Senior Advisor. Ever since, he has worked on business development, marketing and communication, financial planning, organizations development, operations.
Across his professional career, Antonio has worked for some prominent football clubs such as: Atletico Madrid, Arsenal FC, Tottenham Hotspur FC, ACF Fiorentina and other sport organizations and sports clubs. Antonio has been developing projects in the sport industry related to the following areas: Market and financial feasibility studies; Sports clubs operating plan and optimization; Sport strategy development and implementation; Business planning and business performance improvement; Valuation and transaction services; Stadium feasibility study.
Furthermore, Antonio has been involved: in the on-going maintenance and development of KPMG Football Benchmark , a dynamic portal which allows users to perform a wide range of financial and operational analysis of more than 200 professional football clubs; in the production of “Football club’s valuation: The European elite”. The report, in its third edition, measures the Enterprise Value of the 32 most prominent European clubs as at 1 January 2018.
