OUR REBRAND REVEALED
Since 2015, the Sports Tech World Series has been growing, both in numbers, and in the ways we support the global sports technology community. Over the past few months, we’ve been busy developing a new brand strategy and visual identity which truly captures the purpose and mission of the Sports Tech World Series. You’ve probably seen our new logo and color palette appear across social media, and on our website. While those have been exciting changes, logos and colors are only the tip of the iceberg. We saw this rebrand as an opportunity to take a holistic approach to building a strategic foundation for future growth and development of the STWS community. That includes creating a unified identity, a scalable design system, and a mission that makes us all proud.

INTEGRATED NETWORK OF PHYSICAL AND DIGITAL ACTIVITIES
Although our first foray into the sports tech community back in 2015 was with conferences, the STWS network of activities is much more than just physical, in-person events. Over the last 5 years we’ve grown to a position where the majority of touch-points we have with our 35,000 community members are digital.
This has accelerated further in the last 6 months as we’ve added new digital products and services including the Sports Investor Network, Sports Tech Booster Pack and Sports Tech Feed Podcast. In the same way that a team’s fans are more than just who they can fit in the stadium on game day, we believe that just because you can’t be there in person doesn’t mean you should miss out.

What makes us different, is our focus has always been on community. We recognise that whatever activities we do, they must genuinely serve the growth and development of the community as a whole. Whether that’s supporting scholarships for students to attend our events for free, or providing online learning resources for sports tech startups, we’re investing in the community and are here for the long run.
We’re also passionate about the power sports has as a unifying global force. Sports fanaticism transcends borders, and so does the technology that’s applied to it. We believe that wherever you are in the world, you’re still part of the sports technology community, and we’re here to support you.

A UNIFYING BRAND
This new logo is the first step in bringing together everything we do as the Sports Tech World Series. The design provides a single, universally recognisable icon across all our offerings, that carries with it the genuine trust and quality that you have always associated with STWS.
You might not know what the letters in ESPN stand for, but you certainly know the quality they deliver in sports coverage. The use of the STWS acronym reflects our aim for those four letters to be shorthand for us as the world’s trusted resource in sports technology.
RED & BLUE TEAM
The use of color enables you to clearly identify the platform and focus of a product, with the light blue signalling a digital initiative, and red signalling a physical, in-person event, whilst keeping with the overarching community identity. The main logo has the blend of these colors, reflecting the sum of the parts that go into the STWS community.

There are lots of exciting changes coming, and we can’t wait to share them with you every step of the way. We’re committed to making this rebrand more than just a lick of paint, and in a year that has presented so many challenges to our industry and society as a whole, we hope through our update you will feel even more connected to us, and our mission. We can’t stress enough how important you as a member of the STWS community are to us, so thank you for being part of the journey and we look forward to growing with you.
