John R. Persico

John is an international leader and investor in Sports Technology with a passion for understanding what’s next in the digitisation of sports. He serves as Investment Director of Varcis Capital, a Sports Venture Capital fund focused on USD$500k-$5M investments in Asia’s most exciting companies across the sports landscape.

In addition to this investment role, John also serves as the Global Ambassador for Asia for FC Barcelona Innovation Hub and Board Member of the Australian Sports Technologies Network. His former experience is in private equity, M&A and investment banking.

John’s mentor expertise are in capital raising, pitch deck design and competitor analysis.

Thomas Alomes

Thomas is a global leader in sports technology ecosystem growth and development. He serves as a Mentor and Judge for a range of preeminent sports tech accelerators, such as Startupbootcamp and Stadia Ventures, as well as serving on the Commercial Board of the International Sports Technology Association. In addition to these advisory roles, Thomas is the Host of Sports Tech Feed – The Global Sports Technology Podcast.

Thomas’ previous experience is in legal research and policy development, including for the US House of Representatives. Out of the office, Thomas is an ultra-endurance athlete, most recently becoming the 1,637th person to swim the English Channel solo.

Thomas’ mentor expertise are in addressable market exploration, competitor analysis, and global market entry and development.
